Commercialization: July, August, September

GALIA MELON

This is a round shape and small fruit, with a dark yellow peel color, surrounded by stripes. The pulp is firm and particularly sweet and tasty, varying between green and white. The weight ranges between 700g and 1,2kg. It should be stored in a cool and aired place, so it can maintain the proper conditions during a week. It shouldn’t be kept in the refrigerator, which can alter its flavor, with the exception of being too ripe. This fruit contains vitamins A, C and E, and minerals such as calcium, potassium, phosphorus and iron.

CANTALUPE/CHARENTAIS MELON

This is a fruit with a rounded and wrinkled shape and generally without stripes. The pulp color varies between yellow, orange and salmon and its texture is soft and juicy, with a sweet, musky aroma that emanates through the melon when it’s ripe. Cantalupe melon is rich in vitamins A and C, also containing vitamins B3 and B6; it’s also a good source of potassium and fibers.
